ABOUT THE "Devising Immersive Theater" WORKSHOP

Join us for a two-day 'Devising Immersive Theater' workshop, where we'll focus on the essential elements of Craft, The Ensemble, and Audience Experience. Through practical exercises and collaborative exploration, we'll delve into the art of creating dynamic worlds/scenarios and fostering strong ensemble dynamics, all while keeping the audience's experience at the forefront. This workshop is a hands-on, grounded approach to immersive storytelling that aims to empower participants in their creative endeavors.

ABOUT DETOUR'S WINTER 2025 INTENSIVE SERIES

  • Participants will be immersed in Detour Productions’ approach to devised theater, experiential work, and drag artistry;

  • Each workshop is facilitated by Detour collaborators, offering unique vantage points into the company's creative process;

  • These workshops are geared towards advanced and professional level dance & theater artists;

  • Detour is offering sliding-scale tuition for each workshop;

  • All workshop venues are ADA accessible and have gender-neutral restrooms;

  • Masks are encouraged, not required;
