ABOUT THE "CONCEPT TO CURTAIN CALL" WORKSHOP
Maybe it's your first time putting on a show yourself, or you've just received your first grant and have a larger budget than you've had before - this workshop will cover the basics of hiring performers and crew, production timelines, tech schedules, marketing and press for your show. While the workshop will have specific references to venues in San Francisco, the skills can be applied to anywhere you are based.
ABOUT DETOUR'S SUMMER 2024 INTENSIVE SERIES
Participants will be immersed in Detour's approach to devised theater, experiential work, and drag artistry, with a focus on business, administration and producing;
Each workshop is facilitated by Detour collaborators, offering unique vantage points into the company's creative process;

ABOUT KAT GOROSPE COLE
Kat Gorospe Cole is a Bay-Area-based director and producer working in film and live performance, and is a Co-Director of Detour. Since Detour’s first show at CounterPulse in 2011, the company has been self-producing live performances for over 15 years. Cole has worked in the arts sector for that long as well, working in production, development, and operations. They received a 2021 Artist Fellowship from the California Arts Council and premiered their solo work, Quake, in 2022. katcole.works
